  Excursions and Incursions

Why we do excursions/incursions:

Excursions and Incursions during vacation care are for children to develop an understanding of belonging to groups and communities and to learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect. The Prep to Grade 6 children will attend the excursions and the Kinder program will have incursions at the Chabad Malvern Holiday Program Premise (316 Glenferrie Rd, Malvern).

Transportation Details (to and from):

The most convenient and safest route will be taken as determined by the bus driver at the time.

Staff to child ratio:

The Ration will be a minimum of 1:15 and if need there will be more staff.

Excursion times

Children will be Away from the Service Premises on excursions for approx. 3 - 4 hours depending on each excursion type.

Risk Assessments

For each excursion and bus trip, there is a risk assessment created before we attend the excursion all staff are required to read it and know what to do in case of an emergency. If you would like to review the risk assessments please contact us for a copy.
