We are excited to invite all JewQ Champions to the JewQ Shabbaton, Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony, taking place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August.

The Shabbaton will begin on Friday at 5.00 pm at Chabad Malvern, 316 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.

Throughout Shabbat, the children will be hosted by Reuvi and Menucha Cooper, Leah Greenbaum, Sholem Gorelik, together with three experienced youth leaders. They will enjoy a memorable Shabbat filled with delicious meals, inspiring discussions, exciting games, fun activities, and plenty of time to connect with fellow JewQ participants from across Melbourne.

After Shabbat, we will head to Zone Bowling Clayton for an exciting evening of laser tag, bowling and arcade games.

Parents are warmly invited to join us at Zone Bowling Clayton at 9.00 pm for the JewQ Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony, where we will celebrate the children's incredible achievements throughout the year.

The heavily subsidised cost for the Shabbaton and trip is $50 per child.

We never want financial circumstances to prevent a child from participating. If the cost presents any difficulty, please contact us in confidence. We would be delighted to ensure that every JewQ Champion can be part of this special weekend.

PERMISSION FORM

Our Excursions are for children to develop an understanding of belonging to groups and communities and to learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect.

Transportation Details (to and from): The most convenient and safest route as determined by the bus driver at the time. All children will be on bus equipped with seatbelts or in mini vans driven by our fully livcenced staff. Staff to child ratio will be a minimum of 1:15 The Period the Child will be Away from the Service Premises will be for approx. 3. Leaving and returning times as above. Please note the approximate number of expected children is 25. Our Diploma-Qualified Educators are Menucha Cooper and Reuvi Cooper, who will be joined by Leah Greenbaum, Sholem Gorelik, and volunteers.

Authority for my Child in Program to Attend the Excursion:

By Checking the box above this Authorisation Form, I agree to and understand the following -

• My child has my permission to attend the excursion that is listed above and that I have checked. 

• I am listed on the child's Enrolment Form as a Parent or Authorised Nominee.

• I have read all of the details provided by the service and understand that I can access the Excursion Risk Assessment at the service 

• I have spoken with my child about his/her safety responsibilities and will ensure they are dressed appropriately and have packed all required items to attend the excursion.   In the event of an injury or emergency, I acknowledge that the excursion co-ordinator will attempt to contact me. In an emergency, I authorise the Service to obtain all necessary medical assistance, including ambulance transport, medication and hospital admission. 

• The contact details, including all emergency contact details, listed on my child's Enrolment Form are up-to-date.  

• I give persmission for photos and video footage of my/our child to be used on the service’s website, social media, advertising, or organisational resources. All content will be captured on service-issued devices and managed in line with secure storage and destruction protocols.
